We are proud to bring to the community the 2020 Fenland Youth Radio Pride of Whittlesey Awards
Supported by Whittlesey Town Council
Nominations are invited for the Pride of Whittlesey Awards. This also includes the villages. Nominations are now open and you may nominate any person or group by filling out the nomination form and submitting to us by 9pm Sunday 31st January 2021.
Award Categories

Volunteer Of The YearList Item 1
For an individual aged 18+ who has volunteered their time to make an outstanding contribution to their community within the last year.

Secondary School Champion / VolunteerList Item 2
For a young person, aged 12-18, who has volunteered their time to make an outstanding contribution to their community within the last year.

Primary School Champion / VolunteerList Item 3
For persons aged up to and including 11years who have volunteered their time to make an outstanding contribution to their community within the last year.

Business Community Champion of the YearList Item 4
For a local business, which has made an exceptional contribution to its community, by supporting it with funding opportunities or hosting events, or providing advice and resources within the last year.

Community Wellbeing Champion or Group of the Year
For an individual or group that has championed wellbeing within their community, either through providing sporting/exercise opportunities, helping to develop lifestyles, or inspiring others through their sporting and lifestyle activities within the last year.

Community Group /Project or initiative of the Year
Projects and or initiatives that have improved or benefitted our town and
its local communities – run by individuals, groups, or voluntary organisations.

Outstanding Sporting Achievement
Those who’s individual or club efforts and achievements in sport vitalise
communities, bring people together and support physical and mental
wellbeing, or those who have achieved significant sporting success.

Helping Hands
For individuals who make a difference to lives of others, not in association
with a group, charity, or organisation. This could be a caregiver, a good
neighbour or even someone who gives their time to help their family or
friends in need.

Lifetime Community Hero
For an individual who has had a long-term impact in their community,
who has shown commitment to their cause by raising funds and/or
volunteering their time.

Environmental Champion of the Year
For a school, business, community group or individual who has made a
positive impact on the environment in the last year.
